Watching Fireworks with the family is always a great pass time on Independence Day, and one of the best ways to watch these fireworks is from the lake. There will be many opportunities this year in north Georgia, so here is three of the largest and most anticipated shows of the year.

The Lake Lanier Islands will be hosting the largest Fireworks display in north Georgia this year. The Light up the Lake Fireworks display will begin at 9:40 sharp and everyone is encouraged to watch this amazing event.

The American Legion will be hosting their Fireworks at Laurel Park this year in Gainesville. It will be a sight to see for sure.

If you can’t make it out on the fourth University Yacht Club will be hosting a display on July the 3rd. This is a great opportunity for those who may miss the shows on the forth or want to avoid some of the monstrous crowds.
