Rockingham Marina on Boone Lake in Johnson City, Tennessee is holding an open house on Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, 2017 to celebrate the start of the boating season and the opening of the newly-revamped Rockingham Marina Caf©.

The public is invited to the marina from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to enjoy free sweet tea, popcorn, and samples of homemade ice cream. The Carefree Boat Club will offer free boat rides on one of their luxury pontoon boats.

Rockingham Marina’s new caf© menu has been completely reimagined by Chef Todd Dawn, formerly of the Bistro 105 in Jonesborough, Tennessee. The new menu features lake-friendly sandwiches, salads, and sides, along with unique homemade ice creams and desserts. The caf© can also put together a “Picnic Pack to take out on a boat for a day on the lake complete with snacks, sandwiches, sides, and drinks.

While Boone Lake is still below normal full pool level, Rockingham Marina is completely accessible to all watercraft. This open house is a perfect opportunity to see all that Boone Lake has to offer despite ongoing TVA work on Boone Dam.
