Great fun on Boone Lake!

It’s not crowded and there’s plenty of water. There’s also miles and miles of absolutely beautiful shoreline.

TVA isn’t raising the water level for at least another year while they’re working on Boone Dam.  Many people are looking at the negative, but one marina owner is looking at the positive.

Here’s what Doug Sams, owner of Rockingham Marina, has to say.  “We’re the lucky one’s; we’re the one marina sitting right in the middle of the lake, on the deepest water.”  The other marinas have been hit negatively more than Rockingham and one of the biggest reasons is that Rockingham is one of the few places on the lake where you can get gas.
