
The July 4, 2013 Watauga Lake Boat Parade is set for 2 p.m.
This is the 13th annual parade and most of the lake’s marinas will be participating with gas prizes for the best decorated boats. Clad your vessel in flags, banners, streamers or anything red, white, and blue and you can win great prizes listed below.
Or just come out and watch the parade from the shore at one of these locations. The parade will start at Watauga Dam, then to Shook Branch, by The Captain’s Table, round Watauga Point, and end at the Butler Bridge.
Come early for lunch at The Captain’s Table or The Grill at Cove Ridge Marina.

Best Decorated Cabin Cruiser – $200 Gas from Cove Ridge Marina

Fireworks
Stick around and enjoy fireworks that night from the water at sundown at Lakeshore Marina.
Additional fireworks displays will take place a couple of days later on Saturday, July 6 at Cove Ridge Marina (9 p.m.) and Mallard Cove Marina (9:30 p.m. with band on dock).
