About The Show
The annual Tri-Cities Boat Show will take place in the main convention hall at Meadowview and will feature tons of great watersport vendors from Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol. You can expect giveaways and this will be a super opportunity to talk with boating professionals in the area.
The Tri-Cities Boat Show is the biggest event of it’s kind here in the east Tennessee region and folks travel from Kingsport, Bristol, Johnson City and even further to see the latest and greatest in sport boats, pontoon boats, boating accessories and more. You’ve never seen so many boats and boating products in one room! Be sure to stop into Meadowview the weekend of January 24-26. You won’t want to miss it!

TWRA Safe Boating Course
The course consists of 2, 2 1/2-hour sessions on Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. A lunch break is from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.
The TWRA Boating Education Exam will be administered at about 3:30 PM. Attending the class is not required, however, prior studying of the Tennessee Boating manual is suggested! The Tennessee Safe Boating Course covers Your Boat, Getting Underway, Operating Your Boat – Safely, Legal Requirements of Boating, Boating Emergencies – What To Do, Enjoying Water Sports With Your Boat, and Test Review. Contents are approved by TWRA, NASBLA and recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard.
The classes will be taught by members of the Tri-Cities Boating Club which is a member of the United States Power Squadrons, a national non-profit, educational organization dedicated to making boating safer and more enjoyable by teaching many different boating classes to the public and its members.
NOTE: Any Tennessee resident born after January 1, 1989 must carry the TWRA-issued wallet size Boating Safety Education Certificate as proof of successful completion of the TWRA Boating Safety Exam when piloting a boat or personal watercraft.
Test applicants should purchase the $10.00, Type 600 Boating Safety Exam Permit at any TWRA hunting / fishing license vendor prior to the class. Exam may be taken, but need Type 600 receipt for credit.
