About this time of year, many of us can admit we are ready to go back outside and explore because those indoor activities just aren’t cutting it anymore. And yes, February usually means we have a few more winter weeks to go, but who says there’s not an adventure waiting for you right now?
Here’s five ways to avoid the winter blues this February:
- Explore Nature
Go out and enjoy nature! And we don’t mean sit on your porch and gaze outside, we mean go and experience it. Hop on a boat, bundle up and breathe that fresh mountain air with your loved ones. Take a spin on our pontoons and beach it on an island you’ve never been before. Build a fire, roast marshmallows and forget about the busyness of life.
- Unplug
It’s 2023 and virtually everything is on our devices. This makes it nearly impossible to take a breather. On top of that, winter makes it easier than ever to sit in our pajamas and sink into our phones reminiscing the days when it was warm and sunny. We’ve all done it but instead how about we try something different. All you need is a buddy, a fishing pole, and your ringer on silent.
- Do Something Spontaneous
Ever heard of a polar plunge? Well it’s just what is sounds like. Grab some wet suits, a few braves souls, and life jackets and jump into the water! Or wait on the boat with the hot chocolate and and warm towels. Not that adventurous yet? Maybe a trying a new restaurant on your day off is more your speed.
- Date on the Lake
Make the best of the month of love with a romantic date on the lake. Charcuterie, wine, and that charming smile will have your special someone swooning. Bundle up under a few blankets and relax under a Tennessee sunset.
- Quality Time with Friends and Family
Sometimes all we need to help us out with the winter blues is some quality time with the ones we love most. Call a friend you haven’t talked to in a while or go on a hike with your kids.
We are all in this together and your Carefree family guarantees that each of these activities is sure to bring a little sunshine to your day!
