Hey guys, we’re out on Boone Lake again, coming down the Watauga River between Points 19 and Point 18. Before you get to the Cut-Through, there’s this little cove.
We’ve got a stretch off to our right here that’s great for teaching somebody how to ski. And this little cove that’s off to our left here is referred to as Church Cove. Let’s wander back in there and I’ll show you why.
OK, guys, we’re back in the cove here. The little green building up there with the green roof that you see is a nice little church. The next door neighbors actually have a little dock down there.
During the summer this is a very popular hangout on the weekends. As we were coming into the cove, we actually saw a couple hanging out. If you are a young socialite, this is the place you want to come.
There’s going to be about 15 boats rafted up down here and they will be socializing, listening to music and having a good time getting to know one another. So it’s a great place to hang out on Boone Lake.
And it’s just about a mile and a half from Rockingham Marina. So, if you are keeping your boat at Rockingham Marina, it’s a convenient location.
Have you been to Church Cove? Let us know in the comments.
