Your friends at the Carefree Boat Club know you want to make the most of every minute this Fourth of July weekend, and we are here to ensure that your experience is as memorable, enjoyable, and carefree as possible, and one of the best ways to do so is to plan ahead! As usual, we’ve done your research for you and found some of the best events and activities for you to take advantage of this year. Keep reading to lock in your Fourth plans!
If your ideal Fourth of July includes staying on the lake until dark, you are in for a treat! Near Rockingham Marina on Boone Lake, Friday’s Hollow presents their annual fireworks show at 9:45 PM on July 4th. Don’t miss it, it is truly an unforgettable experience! Best viewed by boat, our members look forward to this festive bash each year. Why stop the fun? Continue the party on July 5th with the annual America’s Bash lakeside concert! This year, country music star Dylan Scott is coming to Boone Lake, so don’t miss the opportunity to watch the fun from a Carefree Boat Club Boat! Also on July 5th, beginning at 7:00 PM, Davis Marina on Boone Lake is hosting live music, great food, and a fireworks show. If your preferred location is Watauga Lake, Lakeshore Marina hosts a spectacular fireworks show that you can enjoy right from your boat! Lakeview Dock on South Holston Lake is heading off the weekend this year with fireworks and great food on July 3rd! If you are interested in spending July 3rd at Lakeview Dock, be sure to secure your reservation now, as these festivities are exclusive to Carefree Boat Club members with an active reservation. Wherever you choose to enjoy your fireworks, make sure you arrive early to claim a safe, comfortable spot away from heavy boat traffic.
While we always encourage our members to have fun, we also want to remind you to celebrate responsibly. Designate a sober captain, be sure to bring sun protection, be mindful of changing weather, and respect no-wake zones. Pack plenty of snacks and hydration, it is going to be a hot one, and we want to ensure our members return home with nothing but great memories and big smiles.
And lastly-act fast! Make sure to reserve your favorite boat and your preferred time slot in advance so you don’t miss out on the opportunity to spend the Fourth on the beautiful lakes of East Tennessee! See you there!
