ABOUT CAREFREE BOAT CLUB SOUTH HOLSTON LAKE  

South Holston Lake is our newest club location nestled, in the hills of east Tennessee, at Lake View Dock. The Marina is flanked between the TVA Property of South Holston Dam and the Cherokee National Forest and host spectacular views of the surrounding lake-front!

MARINA AMENITIES 

The fine floating facility includes a General Store, complete with an upper deck lookout, where customers gathers to enjoy food from the onsite restaurant.  This scenic escape provides an amazing view of the South Holston Lake over the rooftops of the marina. The General Store provides a full line of fishing, camping, boating equipment and supplies, along with gas, ice and a wide range of food and snack items.

The Wheelhouse Restaurant is a casual walk up restaurant specializing in made to order breakfast, custom made pizzas, hoagies, and salads with fresh summer ingredients. They also serve a variety of cold draft beer,  fresh brewed iced teas, and dock slushies.

WHAT IS THERE TO DO FROM THIS MARINA

Cliff Island is located off Point 2 and is a South Holston hot-spot. Pull your boat near the small island, swim to the low side of the island, and in 50 steps, you’ll be ready for an exhilarating 10 foot drop into the lake.

There are some great coves for water sports at the south end of the lake. If you’re heading north up the lake, hang a right at Point 3 and you’ll find some great options. Much of the shoreline is brittle shale making great places to pull your boat close to shore and enjoy a picnic or some exploring.

The TVA observation building at the dam on Highway 421 is a must stop location to enjoy views and learn about the lake.

WHAT TYPE OF BOATS MEMBERS HAVE ACCESS TO

Hosting brand new boats every year, this location provides full access to a Chaparral with the all new Wake Surf package, Bennington’s, Avalon’s, Premier Tritoon’s, as well as a Double Decker Tritoon with a slide. We are committed to keeping an up to date fleet with new models coming in all the time!
